Well folks, it was very, very windy at M & M during the derby but the fishing was still decent. We again fished at M & M Campground in Clearlake Oaks. Most of the fish were caught with hair/bolt rigs baited with maize, boilies or bread dough.

If we had gone with no limit like So Cal did this month Carper Rick would have won it with 91 lbs 5 oz's for 11 fish and Mick would have taken 2nd place with 65 lbs 5 ounces for 6 fish.

Keith Thompson caught a very unusual fish called a pacu, evidently related to the piranha but a vegetarian. It weighed about 4 or 5 lbs and fought like a freight train.

Carper Rick caught a huge channel catfish weighing in at 27 lbs 1 oz.

Steve Gibbons caught a large channel cat weighing in at 14 lbs 5 oz's.
