Just an FYI Lodi Lake is full of water and As Steve and I know the fish take to feeding immedialty after that fast flowing river.

I need to check fishing regulations to make sure of closed dates. but check out the mokelumne river for details as that is the body of water Lodi Lake is following regs for

Anthony

Just added the page from the Regs, these regs are a BITCH to follow, maybe someone else can interject but it looks like it is open to fish just not for Salmon

Anthony,

I remember Steve posting about getting run off of Lodi Lake last spring or maybe the year before because salmon season was closed and they weren't allowing any kind of fishing. I did a thorough search on this *$#$** forum but could not find Steve's post. Angry Fire

Edit: I found it: April 5, 2009
Sunday morning I took a drive out to Lodi Park for a solo session. The weather was even better than on Saturday but it was very slow going. Around 11:30am I began to get a few quick runs and missed several hook-set attempts.

The bites continued to increase but a passerby, who looked and sounded like a local cop, warned me that the area was closed to "all fishing" (due to the Steelhead run)until May 2nd. He also mentioned that if caught the fine would be $1,500.00, so I packed up and left.

Regards,

-Steve

OK, I checked out the regs and it appears that you can fish Lodi Lake all year long except for salmon and or steelhead. I would strongly suggest that anyone fishing there bring a copy of the 2010 regs and have it open to the page. It appears there are some misconceptions among the local authorities.

OK Anthony,

I wish I could make it but I'm just not up to the drive right now. I bet Steve would go, give him a call.

If you do go, I hope you catch a bunch of lumps, give us a report when you get back.
